D-backs Exec VP & Chief Legal Officer NONA LEE resigned after 22 years to follow her passion to create lasting change with her work in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). She was the first ever Associate Legal Council of the Suns and later founded the Phoenix Women’s Sports Association as a platform for helping women find their power through sports. Lee was the only openly gay and only Black woman to hold an Exec VP position in all 30 MLB clubs (Diamondbacks).
Canada Soccer has appointed MLSE Exec BREAGHA CARR-HARRIS to its new post of Head of Women’s Professional Soccer. More than 70 applications “were received” for the posting. Carr-Harris spent the last 14-plus years with MLSE, most recently as manager of fan service. Carr-Harris has “more than 10 years of experience” as a coach with youth-and university-level teams (TORONTO STAR, 5/8).
